The Hives brought their very stylized and wildly rambunctious show to the Sound Academy late Tuesday night. Decked splendidly in black tuxedos and top hats, one would assume an air of properness, but give The Hives credits for upholding Spin magazine’s “8th rated best live in rock music”. Lead singer, Per Almqvist, schizophrenically paced back and forth on either end of the stage, against the eerily creepy background as fans sang and banter along to face paced rock anthems of The Hives. Lex Hives is their fifth album, check it out.
