As soon as I stepped into the venue, I felt the heat of the crowd that was ahead of me. A DJ was already blasting the latest hits for people to dance to and dance, they did. So much so that opening act Rye Rye had an energetic crowd as soon as she walked on stage. When she left the stage, the crowd danced for a bit to a remix of La Roux’s “Bulletproof”, but when that was done, they started chanting for the main act.
Scissor Sisters hit the stage with the infectious “Any Which Way” which had the crowd dancing and singing in seconds. Vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic were charismatic to say the least, running from one side of the stage to the other at all times. The band put on a great show with a set list that incorporated hits from each of their albums and the crowd seemed to appreciate that.
